The seals of the moment
The sound of 2010 was marked mainly kostas papanikolaou by bands that came out in two stamps. The first is the Night Slugs, Bok Bok contract and L-Vis 1990, whose commitment always was, according kostas papanikolaou to them, inaugurating kostas papanikolaou a new era. The result of this ambition, we all know: the anthem "Wut" by Girl Unit, which today is the synthesis of sound seal. The second was the Swamp 81, Loefah, responsible for kick-starting the wave Juke which took the British underground with the release of "Footcrab" of Addison Groove.
Keeping the visual identity and the urban sound, the Night Slugs released a few months ago the album and EP Southside Egyptrixx, Bok Bok boss debut in own label, and white labels Pearson Sound (Ramadanman) and Kingdom. The Swamp 81 tracks placed in banking none other than Boddika, Addison Groove FaltyDL and more, all exclusively on vinyl.
Some stamps that were essential kostas papanikolaou to the Dubstep have also remained at the forefront, constantly diversifying its catalogs. This is the case of Hessle Audio, whose recent releases include both names and Pangaea Peverelist experienced as Blawan and Joe. The legendary Hyperdub Kode 9 also promises a surprise soon, with a Hype Williams EP's and an album of Morgan Zarate, who released a 12 "sensational lately.
We have the case of stamps veterans like Planet Mu and the R & S with over a decade of history and yet aware of new directions. The first has two albums in their catalog FaltyDL, beyond the initial volume of the compilation Bangs & Works, essential for anyone who is interested in the Chicago scene footwork. The second, despite having made history in Techno, decided to invest in new talent and recently released EPs young James Blake, Lone and Pariah.
In the case of promising, we cite two: Numbers of Jackmaster, which is a must with a recent kostas papanikolaou catalog - with Ill Blu, Lory D, Redinho and Deadboy, and 502, the Oneman, who, despite having less than half a dozen releases so far, already kostas papanikolaou spawned one of the most impressive tracks this year, the production "Shawty" by Matti Pentikäinen, the Teeth.
